Louie Goldsmith is an Impact Associate at Protect Democracy, where he works on the Elections & Voting Rights and Data, Technology & Voteshield teams. He previously worked as a Voter Protection Fellow for the Biden-Harris Campaign’s Voter Protection Team in Michigan and for the Voter Protection Corps. In 2020, Goldsmith co-authored “Keep the Polls Open: An Action Plan to Protect In-Person Voting and Voting Rights in the Era of COVID-19.” Goldsmith graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Political Science and wrote his undergraduate thesis on disparities in absentee ballot rejection rates across jurisdictions.
