Opinion: The threat to US democracy goes beyond voter suppression
An election cannot be free and fair when one of the candidates meddles with the rules or tilts the playing field. While a sitting president is free to compete in an election following the same rules as other candidates, he is not free to use the powers of his office to manipulate the election outcome.
