Alexis Nwatu

Alexis Nwatu supports Protect Democracy’s efforts to expand the reach and power of the pro-democracy coalition by engaging new constituencies, with a focus on youth and Gen Z. Her work includes coalition-building, outreach, and organizing collective action to advance pro-democracy efforts and strengthen democratic resilience. She graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a B.A. in Politics and minors in Social & Cultural Analysis and Social and Public Policy, where she also served on the executive boards of several student organizations focused on civic engagement and public affairs. She previously worked as a paralegal at a full-service law firm.
