JoAnna Suriani is a counsel at Protect Democracy, where she currently focuses on building a broad pro-democracy coalition to push back on executive overreach, protect separation of powers, and respond to attacks on the judiciary. Before joining Protect Democracy, she worked as a litigation associate at a large international law firm, where she represented companies and pro bono clients at the trial and appellate levels. JoAnna received a J.D. from NYU School of Law, a Master of Public Policy from the Maryland School of Public Policy, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland.
