Jules Torti

Counsel

Jules Torti is counsel at Protect Democracy, where she works to protect the rule of law by defending people and institutions against overreach by the federal government. Jules’s litigation and policy advocacy work focuses on separation of powers issues, defense of the civil service and government functions, and the weaponization of federal enforcement authorities. She previously served in a senior leadership role at a United States Attorney’s Office and as a civil rights litigator in private practice. Jules clerked for judges on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She received her J.D. from N.Y.U. School of Law and an A.B. from Duke University.
