Brittany Williams

Counsel & Team Manager, Civic Engagement and Bridge-Building

Brittany Williams leads Protect Democracy’s Civic Engagement and Bridge-Building team, which focuses on piloting methods of repairing our social fabric in order to foster a more resilient pro-democracy movement. Previously, Brittany was a core contributor to Protect Democracy’s Law for Truth project, which utilized defamation litigation to disincentivize spreaders of anti-democratic disinformation and protect everyday people targeted for their efforts to support democratic institutions. Prior to joining Protect Democracy, Brittany served in the Office of the Solicitor at the U.S. Department of Labor, enforcing federal worker safety, minimum wage, and overtime requirements. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison and Harvard Law School.
