Blake most recently served as a communications manager with Our Turn, working to improve the quality of the public education system. Prior to this, he worked in media relations with Freedom to Marry to help rewrite the messaging playbook on marriage for same-sex couples and shift public opinion, which lead to a historic victory at the Supreme Court. He previously worked in D.C. as the first-ever fellow for the Congressional LGBT Equality Caucus where he served as a resource for Congress and worked legislatively to extend rights, repeal discriminatory laws, and improve the lives of LGBT people in the US and around the world. He came from a background in field organizing, working on a number of marriage and nondiscrimination campaigns across the country, including Mainers United for Marriage. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a BA in Sociology and Political Science, and a concentration in Public Relations.
