Chris Vaeth works for a stronger multiracial democracy by engaging diverse stakeholders, protecting free and fair elections, and building unlikely connections. His primary role was co-creating and staffing the nonpartisan National Task Force on Election Crises. Before joining Protect Democracy, Chris was part of the team that opened and built the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, where he led community affairs. Chris previously worked across the nonprofit sector for racial and economic equity. He co-founded the How to Help news blog and a podcast featuring interviews with democracy’s protectors. Chris is a graduate of Cornell University and Harvard Divinity School.
