Christine Kwon


Christine Kwon focuses on legal and policy advocacy to deter, mitigate, and create accountability for abuses of power. She has led Protect Democracy’s work to prevent the president’s deployment of the military and militarized law enforcement for political ends, including litigation on behalf of protesters in Portland challenging the Department of Homeland Security’s violation of constitutional rights and excessive use of force. She also engages with coalitions on congressional reforms to check executive overreach and protect civil liberties. Christine previously ran the San Francisco Affirmative Litigation Project at Yale Law School and served as policy advisor on a presidential campaign.
