Sonya Petri

Sonya Petri currently serves on Protect Democracy’s organizational management team where she specializes in staff development, community building, and management systems. Prior to this, she provided paralegal expertise for many of Protect Democracy’s most significant litigation projects. Sonya has over a decade of experience working in criminal defense and criminal justice policy, including as trial paralegal with the Federal Public Defender Office in Boston and as a contributor to local, national, and international research projects with the Harvard Kennedy School. Sonya earned her graduate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
