Eric Conrad
Communications Strategist
Eric Conrad is a communications strategist at Protect Democracy, where he focuses on ensuring American elections remain competitive, free, and fair. He supports the organization’s litigation, policy, and communications teams in defending the right of all Americans to participate in the democratic process without fear or intimidation.
Eric brings over 15 years of experience at the intersection of grassroots organizing, electoral politics, and advocacy communications. Most recently, he was a Vice President at GMMB, where he led integrated campaign teams for domestic nonprofits, international foundations, and government agencies. While there, he helped found and lead the firm’s Democracy and Human Rights Working Group, coordinating strategic messaging and advocacy for partners including Amnesty International USA, The Carter Center, and States United Democracy Center.
His approach to strategic communications is informed by his foundational experience as a community organizer, bridging on-the-ground lived experience with high-level narrative strategy. Eric holds a Master of Political Management from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida.
