Justin Vail

Justin Vail is Counsel and Head of the Washington Office at Protect Democracy, where he leads the organization’s federal policy and advocacy strategy and works to build broad coalitions that strengthen American democracy. Previously, he served in the White House as Special Assistant to the President for Democracy and Civic Participation, as a policy advisor to a U.S. senator, as a law clerk to two federal district court judges, and on several winning electoral and issue advocacy campaigns. He earned his J.D. from Washington University School of Law and his B.A. from Truman State University.
