Aaron Baird is the Acting Communications Director at Protect Democracy where he leads communications strategy to counter threats to free and fair elections. Aaron is also a co-author of The Authoritarian Playbook: A Media Guide and has staffed the National Task Force on Election Crises, a cross-partisan group of 50+ experts dedicated to ensuring free and fair elections. Aaron previously served as a senior policy advisor to Rep. Adam Schiff, and later led editorial partnerships at a media startup, Quartz. He holds a master’s in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA.
