Anne Tindall leads Protect Democracy’s work to secure accountability for abuses of power and counter anti-democratic activity at the federal and state level. She has overseen litigation challenging law enforcement encroachment on First Amendment rights and violations of the Ku Klux Klan Act and spearheaded legislative advocacy to curtail presidential overreach. Prior to joining Protect Democracy, Anne was a litigator in private practice, led congressional investigations at the House Committee on Energy and Commerce under Chairman Henry Waxman, and was Assistant General Counsel for Litigation and Oversight at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
