Alex Tausanovitch does research, writing and advocacy focused on defending the rule of law and strengthening democratic institutions. His work has been cited in media outlets including the New York Times, the Washington Post, NBC News, the Guardian, NPR, and others. Before joining Protect Democracy, Alex was a Senior Fellow on the Democracy Team at the Center for American Progress. He has also served as counsel to commissioners on the Federal Election Commission and as an Attorney Adviser in the Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid. Alex is a graduate of American University and Yale Law School.
