Ansley Skipper is a communications associate at Protect Democracy. She helps expose threats to American democracy and identify actionable solutions to defend it, primarily through our newsletter, If You Can Keep It. Before Protect Democracy, Ansley staffed Sen. Tim Kaine’s reelection campaign and worked to defeat anti-democratic extremists across the country with Sarah Longwell’s Republican Accountability. Her writing has been published in The Bulwark and The Tennessean. Ansley received her B.A. from the University of Virginia, where she studied history and American government.
