Emily Rodriguez

Communications & State Advocacy

Emily Rodriguez leads the state reporter engagement project for Protect Democracy and is serving as the state policy advocate for both Arizona and Nevada. She devises strategic communications plans for both election-related litigation and high-profile national issues, such as the independent state legislature theory and January 6 accountability. In 2020, she staffed the National Task Force on Election Crises and served as Protect Democracy’s Pennsylvania state lead. Prior, Emily focused on preserving election integrity on five continents and spent almost a decade in domestic politics, strategic communications, and organized labor. She is a political partner with the Truman National Security Project and holds degrees from American University and Sciences Po Paris.
