Michael Sandoval supports Protect Democracy’s policy and communications work around systemic threats to American democracy, and assists efforts to engage the media on those threats. Before Protect Democracy, Michael dabbled in zoo and aquarium fundraising at the Shedd Aquarium, and served in political communications roles as a campaign press secretary for Illinois Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton in 2022, and as communications specialist for the Michigan Senate Democrats. He graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in political science, and earned two master’s degrees from Arizona State University in Political Psychology, and International Affairs & Leadership, respectively.
