Shanna Singh Hughey

Shanna Singh Hughey leads strategic efforts to help prevent an autocratic president from dismantling our democracy. Previously, she was Senior Counsel on the Biden-Harris presidential transition team, Nominations Counsel to U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy, and Press Secretary to U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow. At the state and local level, Shanna founded a nonpartisan think tank focused on empowering voters and served as Senior Advisor to Nashville Mayor Karl Dean. Shanna clerked for The Honorable Aletha Arthur Trauger of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. She holds degrees from The George Washington University Law School and the University of Michigan.
