READ: Protect Democracy Signs on to Cross-Partisan Letter to House Leadership
- April 20, 2020
Today, Protect Democracy signed onto a letter to House leadership urging them to include a provision in the next COVID-19 emergency bill to allow the House to operate remotely during the Coronavirus pandemic and to fund technology modernization in support of these operations.
If Congress has limited capacity to hold meetings, it will not be able to fulfill its constitutional obligation to provide oversight of the federal government and act on issues as they arise.
The letter is signed by a cross-partisan group of 33 good government organizations and individuals. Click here to view the PDF.
