Protect Democracy’s work in support of a thorough and transparent investigation of events leading up to and on January 6, 2021 aims both to ensure accountability for those who planned and participated in the campaign to overturn the election that turned violent, and prevent recurrence.

In partnership with OverZero and New America, we sought to better understand Americans’ views on January 6 to promote a healthy, productive, and cross-partisan dialogue about the unprecedented attack on our institutions and democracy.
