Catherine serves as Counsel at Protect Democracy. She defends civil society against authoritarian threats through strategic litigation and other advocacy, focusing on protecting civic space and securing democratic guardrails against abuses of power. Before joining Protect Democracy, Catherine was an immigration attorney, representing low-income immigrants. Catherine clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. from Yale University.
