Michael A. Sandoval contributes to Protect Democracy’s policy and communications work around systemic threats to American democracy, and assists efforts to engage the media on those threats. Before Protect Democracy, Michael led donor communications at the Shedd Aquarium, and served as a campaign press secretary for Illinois Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton in 2022, and as communications specialist for the Michigan Senate Democrats. He is a proud graduate of Michigan State University with a B.A. in political science, and earned master’s degrees from Arizona State University in Political Psychology, and International Affairs & Leadership, respectively.
