Aaron Baird is a strategic communications lead at Protect Democracy where he leads media relations and communications strategy to counter threats to free and fair elections. He heads the organization’s media function, generating extensive coverage of threats to democracy and election integrity. Aaron is also a co-author of The Authoritarian Playbook: A Media Guide and has staffed the National Task Force on Election Crises, a cross-partisan group of 50+ experts dedicated to ensuring free and fair elections. Aaron previously served as a senior policy advisor to Rep. Adam Schiff, and later led marketing campaigns for finance and tech companies as an editorial director at Quartz Media. He holds a master’s in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Political Science from UCLA.
