Lawsuit Seeking War Powers Transparency Report

After the Trump administration failed to publicly release the unclassified portion of a report on the legal and policy frameworks for the use of military force by the statutorily required deadline, Lawfare editors Benjamin Wittes and Scott R. Anderson and Protect Democracy filed suit to compel the disclosure of the report. It was ultimately released in October 2020. Read the complaint and report below.
